Northern Oregon

           

  Ice Lake (above photo) is located deep inside the Eagle Cap
wilderness area.  It is largely inaccessible, except to those in excellent
condition. 

Adam Creek Falls spills down
 the mountain from Ice Lake
in a series of nearly
 unrelenting waterfalls
 to meet the icy Wallawa
 River below.




















Although northern Oregon bordering the Columbia
 River is mainly treeless (in the interior), the Eagle Cap wilderness
 area and the Columbia River Gorge are exceptions.  To see two
